Janet is finally engaged! Yay!
Seriously, we are all so happy for this couple.
When I first met Brian, I didn’t know if he was going to be a nice guy with his clean shaven look.
I met him a few times before but never got to sit and talk with him.
Today… I learned that Brian is a down to earth guy, I mean I heard him say the “F” word! Oh my!
I am down for a guy who keeps it real…!
Janet is a sister of my sister’s friend from FIDM.
With all of us waiting tirelessly, we knew this day would come.
September 18th, 2009! They wed!

So Alice (my baby sister who is not really a baby) called me and asked if I could help photograph her and Brandon for a shot for their invitation. How could I say no? BTW: check out their kick ass engagement photos by their future wedding photographer: Jason Q. Tran
So Methuselah and I decided to take an aimless drive during these times of high fuel prices to find a place around in Chino Hills that would work. Of course, all the good spots are always taken, require expensive permits, gated or just too hard to get to but we were lucky enough to find a hill with weeds high enough to give good depth to the images.
Since we only needed one image, here were my favorite two from our 20 min shoot.

Old town feel, that is what they wanted. A stroll out on the town. A cup of Starbucks (ask them about that). A dance… We kept it simple

It is rare in today’s time to find a young couple who are so giving and responsive to the needs of others. Aress and Leah are a magnet to company and if only three was a crowd, we bet that they would be able to at least spend a minute of time together alone!
This couple is so shy that it did take a bit of heckling to get them to break free from their safe zone. Although we won’t show you what we made them do, you can bet that it did take a lot of sweat to crack them open. With the sister and best friend tagging along, it was easy getting them to do things on command.
We walked the streets of Old Town Pasadena for a couple of hours and these are what we got….
See you at the wedding!
